"#Metoo campaign. It puts alot of innocent men in the firing line for a very shit life. Yes, women should feel able to speak up if they are a victim. But now a days it seems like whatever they say is taken as gospel. I could say tomorrow that my husband beats me (don't worry he doesn't) and I'd be the one believed with no evidence provided. I worry more for my son growing up than my daughter. " Whoops, that was more controversial than anybody else's

"I miss the lockdowns. " Yep. I didn't need to speak to anybody. I didn't need to work. I sunbathed for the majority of the day. I drank gin during what would have been normal work hours. Nobody talked to me when I went for the food shop. I could cuddle the dogs (oh, and the kids) more.

Firstly there will never be a perfect system where people who commit crimes are found guilty and vice-a-versa so yes innocent men might have there lives ruined. But as it stands there's a one percent chance a rapist will be convicted. I worry for my nieces growing up that, god forbid, if she is sexually assualted she's going to be judged for it because of what she wore, where she walked, how late she was out, how much alcohol she possibly might have d*unk, how she might have kissed him and led him on, how she's actually a liar because it never happened, how she can't be trusted, how she's just a gold digger looking for money, how she's just bitter it didn't led to anything more, how she's a "crazy bitch". While the #Metoo campaign might not have been perfect it has been overall a fantastic thing for improving women's rights and for my nieces I am delighted about that and fully support it.

Nobody gets mad on a Thursday . But just sit and think, have you or anyone you know possibly been in a situation where it was perfectly legal but if the woman told the story in a different tone or changed one small detail then you/they could be prosecuted, put on the sex offenders register and have trouble getting jobs for the rest of your life. There's absolutely no way for them to prove this physically nor could you disprove it. I've been in a situation where if I went to the police on something that was completely legal, explained how I felt, what happened etc but added one small detail in like "I said no and he didn't stop" then that guy would probably end up in prison. And yes, it ran through my mind because I was incredibly angry at the time (but it was all legal and consentual, just a silly mistake). Some women won't think rationally.

That doesn’t happen often at all. Very few allegations are made up and in fact most people don’t ever report their attacks for fear of not being believed and it is exactly because of the ‘reasoning’ you’re giving. Women aren’t in the habit of making up they’ve been sexually assaulted and the majority of reports never make it to court and of those that do, the majority aren’t ever convicted. The chances of a genuinely innocent person going to prison for a sexual assault that was made up by a woman not thinking rationally is so, so slim. C x

" Nailed it

I worry more for my son growing up than my daughter. Ohoh... I can hear the new age feminists prepping their counter arguments ...it's about to go DOWN It's Thursday. C x I'll have to disagree with you on that as there have been reports recently of an increase in false allegations and cases being dropped before reaching court when the accuser admitted making it all up. I have 3 grown daughters, all of whom can tell stories of women they have worked with or are aware of who have made false allegations against work colleagues or friends to avoid the consequences of their own actions. I know of men who have taken their own lives following false accusations. An entire Irish radio programme last year was devoted to taxi drivers, bar staff and hospitality workers who were all victims of false allegations by women and had all been vindicated so to say it doesnt happen very often is completely wrong unfortunately." I am a woman who knows tons of women and I don’t know a single woman who has made up allegations of assault. However, I am a woman who has been sexually assaulted by more than one male and I know multiple women who have been sexually assaulted. Occurrences of people creating stories are far fewer than the number of unreported assaults and way, way lower than the number of convictions for sex attacks. So, in comparison it is rare. C x

"It’s a massive click. When you call out the big players for a comment they’ve made that’s ridiculous no one backs you up. They all gather round and do there utmost to make you look like a fool. There replies are absolutely ridiculous and have no bearing on what you have said and they are all based on whimsical assumptions. They fear losing the fame and adulation of the click and stand by anything they have said. They chose to identify grammar mistakes over sensible debate because that’s the best they can do. Yet this are the same people that stand mortified and seek in justice should someone outside the click say something that there weak minded views find inappropriate. " Their*

"Daniel LaRusso was the real villain in Karate Kid." There’s at least half a dozen episodes across the series that show flashbacks of Russo being the instigator or reason why the hatred escalated in the first place. He had it coming for a long time.

"Socks 'n Crocs are cool. For sure, shows you truly don’t give a shit ...about ever having sex again It’s the universal sign of a big penis. Same thing as driving an ever so slightly tatty car. 2003 BMW 3-Series, walks out with socks and crocs, seems really friendly = 10 inches minimum" Haha, noted

So you can’t call yourself a bull. But hung is a bit vanilla because you’re packing the same down there as a bull it’s just you’re not.

"Our country is a disgrace and a joke " I don’t know many people who disagree with that. But I do admire our role in history: controversial here but the British Empire/Britain has been THE greatest force for good in human history. I’d be happy to debate anyone about that, and I’m not talking about spreading capitalism or English values like general freedom. I mean ending the trade of people as commodities (that yes, we were a part of) by spending a *fortune* and deploying a significant fraction of the Royal Navy to combat these traders in the Atlantic, or acting as a civilising force in the world

" In fact. He’s an even bigger dick in Cobra Kai. Johnny is just helping a young boy who’s being bullied and Daniel son doesn’t want to see him be successful. Johnny is the real hero

"it is all about looks. As long as they can pretend to be a decent person for the time I'm with them I'm happy. I dare not say that I think David Attenborough is boring again or I'll be drummed out of the Brownies" I was actually banned from the brownies 2 months after joining .... "I think the democracy idea of everyone having a vote is flawed because most people are idiots Voting only works if the people casting votes are well informed If you took your car to a mechanic and he said it was the head gasket, but he wanted to ask 1000 random people their thoughts, and they all said it was the spark plugs so he has to do that, you’d have a broken car. I didn’t vote on brexit because I’m not educated enough to do so. I know many people that did because “brown people”. There should be some kind of test or vetting process to allow you to vote " This conversation goes on a lot in our house. We end up in a maze that starts with "who decides what's on the vetting test?"
