Ragley boat stop at Sinfin used to do a wide selection of steaks, big and small. Not been for a while but assume they still do.

Also queens head in Ockbrook has a grill night on a Thursday, good vfm. Nice place too

I used to enjoy the pit and pendulum for a drink. It's good fun. As was Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem and the Pitcher and Piano. I don't remember places to eat or get coffee I'm afraid as it's been about 7 years.

Depending what you want to eat, id avoid wragley boat stop as mentioned above its the steaks are asda steaks i shit you not.

Which part in derby or notts are you staying?

The horseshoes (longlane),

cockinn (muggington)

The bulls head (repton)- my local

Binary (mickleover)

Severn (pride park)

Theres lots of other places but all depends on what you want from a meal, theres wank places like toby carvery, cosmo and other buffet restaurants id avoid with a barge pole
