Sad when a friend leaves fab.

Just had someone who I chat to regularly leave fab, its a strange sad feeling, though they have done several times in a few year's always say that's it and still return in a few months. Do you feel sad when people who you chat to leave? Its just a virtual friend right? Did you think they will be back but they never returned.

People often don't know that when they leave all their messages disappear. So sometimes they leave their phone number/ contact details on their last message but if they delete their profile the person will never get them.

Virtual or not, a friend is a friend. Sometimes, the virtual ones know you better than those you see regularly. If they leave, there's a void where they were.

Yes, sometimes. They do tend to yoyo though so I don't feel that sad on the whole - if it's someone leaving for good, for good reasons I'm happy for them even if I might miss our interactions a bit.

I don't find it easy to make a connection on here, so the very few friends I have are precious to me and I'd be upset to lose them.

If we're close though I normally have ways to stay in touch off-site.

Didn't think of that maybe that's what they did, when I tried to send a reply it just wouldn't send.

None of my Fab friends are completely gone because we stayed in touch. I do miss the presence of a couple on the forums but all are just a message away on other platforms

If they are real friends they will keep in touch on other platforms, otherwise they're just people who pass through our lives. No biggie
