How sure are you?

I know a lot of people will say they play safe, but let's be honest, that's not always true..

I've always considered myself quite clean, I'm hygienic and I will usually see only one girl at a time.. but I've noticed a pattern with the last few girls I've slept with, they open up about exes or previous partners. . most say they've found out they'd slept around etc.. behind their back..

I've always played safe except for the last 18 months, I've never showed symptoms or had any problems down there until November, the last time I slept with a girl.. quite a night turned into a tear on my police baton, which I didn't notice at the time

But when I noticed it infrared the worst, anyway it lead me to hide away until I got tested (start of this month)

My first ever test all clear etc..

But looking back there's times you do just let the moment tempt you to take risks, I've learnt my lesson now although it was nothing major I plan to get tested more frequently now..

Ok so question.. How many of you consider yourself clean but haven't been tested either recently or at all? Honestly

I haven't tested recently

It's 3 to 4 years since I've slept with a random

So, right now, I don't feel the need - nor am I in any great rush to have another cocktail brolly shoved down my japs eye

To be honest, I've never let the moment tempt me, I value my health too much.

I only ever play bare with long term partners (no exceptions) and get tested frequently, for my own peace of mind.

I do a postal screen every three months and once every 12-18 months I book myself in for a full screen.

I consider myself really lucky to have such easy access to testing. I'm old enough to remember back in the day when it was a massive faff and felt like the dirtiest thing imaginable. It's so easy now and the staff at my local sexual health centre are brilliant, no reason for me to not test very regularly!

I think that's partly what has put me off going, but entering the clinic you're put at ease and you're right it's easy

But again I noticed from the replies so far, a lot of people consider themselves and the person they sleep with is fairly clean, but in actuality we don't know the habits of the person were sleeping with and when you think of it nor playing safe is quite risky

In Birmingham they called the clinic the "umbrella clinic". Has a picture of an umbrella and everything.

They don't use that tool anymore though - they don't even swab on routine appointments. Thank god for improved urine screening, huh?

I never tested regularly until I joined fab last year and discovered you could do it by post!! Makes life much easier.

I get tested every 3 months but yes I have done bare in the moment a couple of times. I chose to take the risk but luckily it never backfired. We all have to take responsibility for our own sexual health but it's personal choice what we do.

When I start having sex again I’d definitely get tested regularly even though I’d only ever play safe
