Do you know them, do you get on with them, do you socialise together, do they drive you mad, is their garden like an amusement park, do they let their kids do whatever they like at the expense of everyone else, do they keep sending you Xmas cards even though you never spoke, are they nosey and curtain twitchers .... What's yours like? Mine on the whole are ok and often very helpful with one exception of a new family who definitely like to be heard!

We used to clash with one neighbour over parking. They'd constantly park over our driveway or not leave us enough room to get on. Now they're the ones we speak to most.

Neighbours across the way we don't speak to often apart from the odd occasion. They also got paint thrown over their car late one night, I went across to tell them. Luckily it was still dripping so they managed to wash it off. They've just had a baby too so I sent a card and a voucher over and offered my help should they want anything. (even if it's just to sit with baby whilst she has a sleep or has a shower when he's back at work).

They’re very posh. Old money types. Pleasant and friendly enough though. Never any worries about them being too loud or unsociable. That would be very much frowned upon.

I feel like a fraud living where I do

I sort of seen them and said hi, they seem all very young, and there’s one who’s a musician in an indie band (I’m snooping, yes!)

Have yet to speak to them properly tho. Also, I don’t know what kind of activity is happening upstairs but I can hear the back and forth motion. But no moaning at all so I think they might be excercising rather than sexcercising

Nothing beyond a polite greeting of our paths cross. I’m the antisocial one of the street. It matters not to me, what goes on beyond my 4 walls.

They’re peaceful enough on both sides, that’ll do for me.

Both neighbours are lovely, quiet and keep to themselves. One has early onset Alzheimers so is starting to lean on us a little but is an absolutely lovely person.

We aren't the sort to be into each other's business but we've invited them round for BBQs and things in the past.

Family to the left always take parcels in for me but are moving out soon and I don’t know who is moving in. Person to the right is rarely there but I get on with her as our paths cross professionally. She has had different people staying at the house including a couple who would have late night noisy sex and it was obvious she was faking Ended up putting a note through the door to point out I could hear EVERYTHING People next door to them are both teachers, newly married and have an unhealthy obsession with Disney

Guy over the road is a very odd creature…. Has an interesting assortment of ceramic animals that he keeps in his bedroom window along with a Dolls World head that appears every now and again and stares straight in to my bedroom window! He is also regularly visited by a couple of the local working girls who I come in to contact with through my (completely above board) job but thankfully they never give me any grief.

Now humming the Space song “Neighbourhood” to myself….

I'm in a block of six. Flat underneath me has a decent enough guy, new tenant. Above me is the noisy one, I've lost count of how many times I've told her to shut up with her constant banging things about. Guy across from me is the best, I get on well with him. Underneath and above him are two lazy arses, who do nothing. Wouldn't give them the time of day so yeah not the best of neighbours x

All my neighbours are very reserved and keep themselves to themselves, I don't like this, I grew up on a street where all our neighbors were close

I always make the effort to interact if possible, some of my neighbours will straight up avoid eye contact so you can't even just let on, an that pisses me off I find it so rude

However the past 3 months they have got to know me and now cant go out the house without them having a chat or giving me a fruit pie

I live in a cul-de-sac, and the neighbours are all perfectly acceptable. My only nextdoor neighbour is a single lady and sometimes works in the local pub so we get on great. My only problem with my neighbours is that half of them are family so it's a pain in the arse trying to get any privacy - they always know what I'm up to!!

My neighbours pop out a lot and some days I end up with 3 or 4 of their parcels but its ok as I know they will do the same for me. Yes and we take one another's bins out too if one is away.

All are 70+. Next door neighbour plays a variety of musical instruments badly and loudly, which is ideal for me working from home. Neighbour on the other side never wears a bra. Neighbour behind is 90 and cycles everywhere carrying a cello. They’re a good bunch and all is quiet after 10pm.

I will be so sad to move in a few weeks as my next door neighbour is wonderful. He's my age and we chinwag about everything over the fence. The kids all talk to him too and my dog adores him. He buys or makes treats for us all the time - last week it was creme eggs. He's made ice cream for us. I watered his garden when he was away. Lovely guy.

One of our neighbours had one of our parcels delivered to their house and opened it without looking at who it was addressed to! It was a very awkward conversation when he came around and admitted to what happened and that he was so flustered that he had thrown it away! Turned out it was a strap on that we had purchased online late one night.

One neighbour's criminal career came to a halt following the penultimate raid after a murder. That was a bit unnerving. Least I don't have to deal with the music till 3am anymore.

My non adjoined neighbours are great, we'll often stand outside and have a good old chin wag and catch up.

My adjoined neighbour was a sweet old dear who's lawn I used to mow as it'd gotten too much for her and her grandsons were back at uni but she moved out late last year. The new neighbours are OK but pretty much keep themselves to themselves.
