Shite day at work

In the west.

I saw earlier that today was national sickie day. Even before I saw that I didn't want to go in today as I knew it was going to be pants as I knew what was in store.

Then when I got in the first e-mail was from the CEO looking very very dejected and telling us there is no money in the sector and we will probably have to under go yet more VS. Oh the joy of the public sector.

Has anyone else had a similar day?

Oh, sorry to hear about your bad day. I hope it goes better for you tomorrow and more importantly your position is safe for the future

?

I've had 6 hours of "normal" day job, followed by 6 hours of overenthusiastic Americans alternating between spouting corporate bollocks and whoop-whooping

I have the same for the next 2 days, and then a 6:30am start to drive over 100 miles for a meeting.

This week isn't my favourite ever week

Thank you. It may be but who knows, maybe it's time to do something different as this has been a fairly regular thing over the last few years.

Mine was the usual mix of joy and frustration. And then I had to do loads of behind the scenes work after.

I couldn't be a manager. Being off and then having to deal with shite when you get back is just utter shite. Hopefully tomorrow will be better now they have got it off their chests.

That's a result. I have a long weekend so a visit or 2 to a pub is called for. Normally it Thursday evening before I decide to do that.

I can concur that management can be very challenging indeed. I've been off with the flu and so whilst I've not been at work, it's not exactly been sprinkles and rainbows

Thing is, I couldn’t be arsed with today from the very start. I have a job where a positive mindset is important (usually achievable for me), so it was pretty much game over before it had even begun

I started work at 6, lost two brand new bags tipping them into the skip, got my forklift stuck in muck twice and fucked up a major order all before 8oclock so today has not been the best of days ????

I've not been feeling anything any year tbh. Been trying to get counselling for my depression but waiting is a nightmare and I'm angry I can't see a doctor. I know everyone else feels the same about this too x

I hate the long dark winter nights so much I got some light glasses. I looked like an alien from Blake's Seven when I wore them.
