out of town!

My folks got a microwave in something like 1983, I decided to put the teapot (metal with a wooden handle) in to warm the contents rather than put it on the hob. I think it managed 15 seconds or so before it “stopped”, I was quite enjoying the light show.

The smell from the burning handle was horrendous, as was the noise my mum made. (I think it got fixed under warranty - “just say it’s stopped working”)
