My mum is generally not the best cook in the world (largely because she overcooks absolutely everything), but her roasties are amazing. They end up with a dark ring around the bottom where they've sat in the meat juices, and are absolutely delicious. We do decent roasties, but I've never managed to recreate them. | |||

I use the ready made ones because I just can’t for the life of me make my own. " Get yourself a little teacup. Use equal measurements in it, eggs, flour, milk. Whisk together thoroughly in a jug. Get the baking tray in the oven first with a little oil covering and let the oil heat at 180 for a good five to ten minutes then whip it out and add your mixture to the red hot oil then pop back in for 20 minutes or so. Watch the beautiful beasts come to life through the oven window whilst sipping a cool gin and tonic. Hey presto…. Perfect Yorkers | |||
