From buttery mash, to a dash of honey on your carrots, to rosemary on your roasties.

What little touches do you add to make your Sunday roast the best?

Yes! My mum is generally not the best cook in the world (largely because she overcooks absolutely everything), but her roasties are amazing. They end up with a dark ring around the bottom where they've sat in the meat juices, and are absolutely delicious.

We do decent roasties, but I've never managed to recreate them.

Well, we're off our for our Sunday roast today. Not looking forward to it 'cos a lot of places charge £20 for food that's average at best

My Yorkshire pud’s are the greatest.

Made from scratch and almost as big as the plate.

Beautifully moist with a crispy head that’s risen through two levels of my oven

Maaan I’m hungry now

Okay so, confession time... I actually like frozen yorkies

Happy with homemade ones too, but I think they fill the frozen ones with buckets of salt, and that's what I must like about them. Please don't judge too harshly

.

Mustard in the cauliflower and broccoli cheese.

Decent parmesan grated finely over roast potatoes. Absolutely delicious.

Garlic and tarragon brown butter under the chicken skin before roasting. Foil for the initial cooking stage, turn up the oven and remove for the final part so the skin is perfectly golden and crispy.

Pancetta and garlic with finely sliced pan fried brussel sprouts.

Sorely tempted to do a roast now.

It's for a birthday meal unfortunately, so can't wriggle out of it. I'll just die inside the whole time, despite telling the waiter everything is fine when they come to check

Yorkshire puds are the best bit of a Sunday roast. I use the ready made ones because I just can’t for the life of me make my own.

Can I (C) please just make it known that it is L who loves the frozen Yorkshire puddings.

In my eyes, aunt Bessie's are a cardinal sin and should never be allowed.

It also upsets me greatly because Yorkshire pudd is one of the things I'm best at cooking and I live with a heathen who prefers frozen!

Also, lamb is 100% my favourite meat...I'm moist just thinking about it.

Get yourself a little teacup.

Use equal measurements in it, eggs, flour, milk.

Whisk together thoroughly in a jug.

Get the baking tray in the oven first with a little oil covering and let the oil heat at 180 for a good five to ten minutes then whip it out and add your mixture to the red hot oil then pop back in for 20 minutes or so.

Watch the beautiful beasts come to life through the oven window whilst sipping a cool gin and tonic.

Hey presto…. Perfect Yorkers

There's been a couple of people say this. Do you not roast them in the meat juices if you're using duck fat?

Next Door

Roast beef, cooked rare with roasted pots, carrots and parsnips. Carrots and swede mash. Red Cabbage cooked in spices with apple. Cauli and broccoli cheese, with a spponfull of mustard in the cheese sauce. And yorkies.

I like rosemary and honey on the carrots. Sometimes put a few cloves of garlic in with the pots.

Gravy made from meat and veg juices.

That's what the family are having today. I will just have meat, Cabbage and cauliflower and broccoli cheese.
