When you say swinging, what is it you are thinking of/thinking of doing? You watching her have sex with someone else, her watching you, both of you swapping with other couples?

In our experience, lots of thought and talking needs to go into it, and just take your time. One step at a time.

the effects on a relationship vary. If you're strong, both happy to swing, understand that sex isn't the same as love and have talked about boundaries etc before and after you meet it will either have a good or neutral effect effect.

If one of you is reluctant or doesn't stick to or understand boundaries or you're doing it to fix problems it could have a bad effect.

I genuinely don't think anyone else can tell how it will affect you personally

There are more ways it can effect a couple then there are shades of grey.

For me and my partner it's a wonderful solution to the fact that when it comes to sex we both like different things, so for us it means we can have a normal healthy relationship with out any sexual frustration. So swinging works for us.

The simple answer is what works for one couple doesn't work for another.
