"This post isn't about how others view you. Just before anybody states they don't do things to their body to appease other people. Summer is creeping up and I really want to start getting back into some sort of shape. Last year I was walking 8 miles in the evening after work, eating healthy and doing small home workouts before I had emergency abdominal surgery which scuppered my plans for the rest of the summer. This year my aim is to be in some sort of relative fitness before summer arrives. Food isn't that much of an issue, happy to not snack (or to make better choices) and I quite enjoy fasting. The harder part is cooking healthy meals when I can't be bothered. Any ideas for quick, easy, healthy meals? Onto the fitness.. Home workouts can be done easily when kids are in bed, I just need the motivation, and I can often find more important things to be doing like laundry, cleaning etc. Walking/hiking can be a little tricky when Mr is out or working but I have all the motivation (plus a springer to keep me company). How do you all balance it? When do you "start" if you're not one that keeps up with fitness throughout the year and any tips to help along the way. " I like your shape | |||

"I’ve exercised a few times a week since I was kid it’s a habit now. I walk everyday as much for my body as my mind. I teach dance/fitness classes so I really don’t have an excuse to miss it as I’d be letting my class members down. I’m lucky in that I have a fast metabolism and have always been able to eat pretty much what I want however I am diabetic so I tend not to eat a lot of sugary snacks, never eat ready meals and I cook most of what I do eat from scratch. It’s more about potion control for me and doing an exercise I enjoy instead of following some kind of plan that I get no motivation or joy from, you will find what works for you OP, good luck with it xx" On a side not I'm thinking of taking dance lessons | |||

"I want to get my arse back in shape too for summer. Been now 5 days back to the gym and loving it I personally don't do diets but I don't eat very unhealthy either As for when to start, NOW.
