I think they wanted to show what happened to Boba after the saarlac pit but then got stuck on how to make us interested in what he’s doing now whilst, at the same time, leading us in to series 3 of The Mandalorian. Out of a 7 episode run, only about 3 episodes worth of content are about Boba in the present. They haven’t had enough time to set up and execute a meaningful story for him.

Only seen to ep 5 so far. I think it is hit and miss.

The back story and post sarlac pit (flashback) stuff is great. The “i wanna be a gangster don” stuff not so much - meanders too much. Good to see this universe expanding and it will only get better (i hope).

Agree this was the show WE all wanted. You can tell it was a Felloni episode. I would say other than mando final episode season 2 this had me geeking out

Yes for sure but actually interesting ‘new’ character - that I don’t know much about. I can’t wait till we see thrawn tho. I think I will have a sex wee when we see him, if we see him. I think it’s only a matter of time!!!

Yeah it’s is a bit strange but I don’t care anything in mandolorian armour be it boba or djen is cool!!!! Also seeing 2 characters that I live , one of which I grew up with (trying to say no spillers)

To be fair we did at least see boba this week even of it was for less than 10 seconds and he didn't speak. I did like the fact that din did thr same nod that boba did in rotj

Mando is everything Boba wishes he was - mysterious, likeable and interesting.

The last two episodes have been the best in the series and don't use their lead character at all.

In all honesty, the majority of characters they've met are more interesting than Boba. Fennec would have been so much better.

Episode 1-4 good but hmmm

I want this how be more and lots more fun and better it’s a slow burner of a series but now starting find its self and think last few episodes will be awesome

Stick with it it’s Star Wars after all which means it will be awesome lol

Boba has well and truly lost his mystique.

I’d say he’s lost his badassness as well but he didn’t really do much badass stuff in the films mostly stood around looking cool before getting launched unceremoniously into the pit. He was my favourite character though until now.

The problem is a mistake that was made several years ago: The Mandalorian should have been Boba Fett to begin with. By creating an original character, who was effectively Boba Fett in all but name, they shot themselves in the foot when it came to using actual Boba Fett.

Also, it hasn't escaped my notice that the very weakest episodes were the ones Robert Rodriguez directed. The dogshit Spy Kids scooter gang can fuck right off.

The little green fella stole the show again.

Generally agree Boba was as charismatic or skilled as Mando and as the OG he should have been better. But overall enjoyed the show. It sets up Mando S3 quite nicely and expanded the SWU a little further.

As far as I was concerned, it was very enjoyable. Not "great" and some parts felt off but still very enjoyable. The Mando episodes where the standout's though (which is weird considering it was supposed to be Boba's show).

Lets be honest, Boba was always about looking cool (and boy did he in that final episode) but people where never gonna be happy no matter what they did with him. He only had 5 lines in the original trilogy and then was turned into a clone in the prequals so no matter how they fleshed his character out, someone was gonna be mad.

Lets be honest, it's all about Mando now who for all intents and purposes might as well have been Boba Fett.
