Some people I am close to on here know but about time get off my chest and if this helps someone.

I am depression and anxiety suffer have been for many years how I lost my hair when I was 23 due stress before you ask was long thick and ginger and past my chest was clean shaven was grow a beard till my mid 30 or early 40's and oap age look like manscape gandalf haha but since suffer with body images issues never change way I look never shaving my beard for anyone but always feel need look bigger and better as don't like the fact I am very pale .

over last 18 months lost my first big proper job thanks to covid been stood up on dates 8 times last 3 years and in August won't go into detail defend a elder vulnerable family member who the local idiot try to attack and who is banned for all locals and I've thrown out before he tried his best but once again got better of him which resulted him have 47 stiches in his face .

Never dealt with police before i was questioned in police room few weeks later after the incident as refer it to that as like getting of my chest once but wasn't charged as of yet but next day I was in self harm and suicidal thoughts thought I was on right path but November last year I had enough and tried a take my own life was taken to mental health unit by police who I lost faith in treated me with respect and friendship with people looking a glass like I was so rogue animal was sent home and had calls from friends not seen in years and I posted something like this on my facebook next day hopefully rise awareness

this like to do know like fab as like been cheeky and flirting and having fun some people and what it should be about hope this thread gives helps you understand more about mental health and maybe get help or help someone

end of treat people how you wanted to be treated and like everyone who reads this be safe have good times inside and outside the bedroom

The problem is a lot of people don't realise there is an actual person posting on these threads. They have no idea what someone is going through or struggling with in life.

Thank you for sharing. Its a huge step to open up. Sometimes it's easier to open up to strangers on a virtual platform than to friends.

The mental health support is very limited due to it being so under funded, which is such a shame when so many are in need to support.

I hope by opening up a bit you can open up a big more in time..exercise is a good healer also.

It takes courage to share this, and courage to reach out and say you need help. Thank you for doing so. Tiny steps, don’t beat yourself up if sometimes they’re in a backwards direction, just take a deep breath, accept that everyone falters sometimes, and take another step forward.

I shared this, to a friend’s page the other day, as she posted to say to reach out to someone if anyone is struggling “We can all be the candle in the dark, even if we think our flame is too small, it’s enough to reach someone in the darkness” I stand by this.

Though sharing your story, you could very well have been that candle, for someone struggling, so they know they’re not alone. Feeling alone, in the dark, is such a terrifying and lonely place to be, so it’s always good to know someone else understands, empathises, and that they’re still here x

Sending gentle healing hugs to you and to all who need one x
