To all those who have lost

and feel run aground

I hope one day you'll emerge

to meet those yet to be found

Grief, loss and pain

May never come to end

But there is another way

if you can begin to comprehend

You can never go back

How can you carry on?

With such a hole in your heart

Life, please, just be gone!

A day will come soon

When all is not black

A shade of colour or two

And memories come back

A tear, one or more

But chased with a grin.

In the corners of lips

A smile will begin

With fond times remembered

the Sadness still there

But the sorrow is calmed

When those good thoughts are shared.

I'm sorry for your heartache

But please, sit for a while

And tell some of those stories

That have helped you to smile
