I have galaxy 3 but preferred my HTC. I just wanted the front facing camera.

Loads of new phones coming out in next month though.

okay... couple of quick bits....

if you are staying with samsung and looking at an S3... hold on... because the ones currently out there are NOT compatible with the new 4G network...

they are bringing out a S3-LTE model in a few weeks....

the general rule of thumb is that if you are happy with the Samsung you have... there isn't enough in the new iphone to really get you to switch (even though I love my Iphone 5)....

Tra has an iPhone 4 and I've got an S2. I wouldn't swap in a million years but then neither would she..

ive never been one for having the most upto date phone, so long as i can make a call on it thats all i care about

now days if a phone dont do everhything bar make a cuppa tea people dont want it, and if they ever loose it its like their whole world has ended as some put their whole life on their phone.....wierd

I've always had iPhones since they came out and switched to blackberry about 18momths ago. Avoid blackberrys at all cost miles behind every other phone out there. I recently upgraded Back to the iPhone 4s and love it as I have a mac and iPad so it's all in sync.

A few mates have various other phones and the general feedback from everybody is Samsung or iPhone.

Depends what you prefer. Most smartphones are pretty good these days. If you're happy with Android phones, then get another Samsung. Otherwise, get an iPhone. Or, even more radically, get a Nokia Windows 8 phone!

If you have Virgin Media (tv, broadband etc.) they are doing some seriously good contract deals at present.

Or if you want to go contract-less, Giff Gaff have some good deals too.

As for phones, to be honest its all down to preference. See what suits you.

although i did find the xperia sadly lacking in the,charismatic frontman,and marketing god would have been proud of department.
