Jodie Marsh, Jordan...

Jodie Marsh, Jordan, X Factor participants, reality show 'stars', footballers, WAGS.....

Some may say they don't have a 'proper job' and are merely milking their 5 minutes of fame. Numerous magazine articles, newspaper stories about them opening a tin of beans... and getting paid a fortune for it.

What do you think about them?

My _iews...

I think good for them. Some may never have had the skills to get a 'proper' job but they do have skills to get themselves in the papers/ talked about and make money from it.

Yes I wish I made the same money as them... but I don't look 'down' on them.

i dont look down on them, i just hate them lol

Jordan is the one i hate the most. the way she uses her disabled son to keep her in the press.

Jodie Marsh cant decide what she wnts to do, model, body builder, lesbian, tattooist.

i'll grant you that they have good PR people and have made a success of being able to do not a lot, maybe i am envious of that? little green monster and what have you.

Some have a good buisness head on them. Jordan especially. You don't make millions by just being in magazines. She knows how to market things, and sell. Makes her no different to Ad Execs, or money mangers..

All these "celebs" have one thing in common.....they will be/have been in the Australian jungle.

Now i am not going to call them all thicko's, as that is definitely not the case, but why do they have to come across as such

Not a fan of celebs as you may have guessed

It's called work, we all do it to some extent, whether it's manual or mental labour.

Do you mean like models, they use their body to earn money by wearing designer clothes on the catwalk.

Or financial analysts, they use their brain to solve problems and do maths (ok crap example but I don't know what they do!!)

How are these things different? They are both using their skills.....

The only reason I'm not so keen on them is there're looked up to by the younger more impressionable of society when there are so many other true celebrities such as olypians and , forces personal for example that in my opinion far greater role models. But then again they are working with what they got so good for them

If some young girls look up to them as role models it says a lot about our modern society and parenting skills...

Good luck to these girls, if people are stupid enough to help feed them then more the fool them, they are simply taking advantage of the gullible amongst our population.

What's this?? A fab forum thread asking for judgement of others... Well I never.

For what it's worth; good on them, however they make their living is up to them. I follow Jodie Marsh on twitter and actually she seems to be a down to earth girl.

I meant to include boys/ males too but couldn't think of any, that's why I said reality and xfactor 'stars'.

I agree that it says a lot about our society, which is very unfortunate.

I'm undecided though as to whether it's good to look up to them for making actual money... instead of sitting home on the dole (meaning people that make a 'career' out of being on benefits, NOT everyone on benefits).

I like her, she's clearly a very vulnerable human being so credit to her for managing with public life.

Well Jordan has been modelling since she's about 16 years old so she is working. She became the top of her profession through hard work and because of that she is able to put her name to a whole host of other things, books, underwear, eyelashes etc. Like a lot of other celebrities who lend their name to reap endorsements. I don't suppose the Beckhams are mixing up bit containers full of perfume in their garage either.

Jodie Marsh has also traded off her name and she seems to have made money so good luck to her. Same as the big brother lot. They can reap rewards for a month. But because they don't really have a marketable talent we soon forget them and they don't do bery well.

I imagine they are all paying taxes on their earnings so good luck to them

Good on 'em - so many people are just jealous of their wealth so they slag them off. We all do daft things but theirs end up in the papers - i know they crave celebrity and need it in order to keep the money coming in but i know i couldn't handle it. Z

I got to admit I have no idea who Jodie marsh is. Jordan I think used to be a model. But not seen her in a long time cos I don't read gossip mags or watch celeb tv.

Having said that enough people do to make lots of money for these people of no particular skills.

That Jedward sketch was rank!!

Botox worries me. I wonder if one day in 20 years their faces will rot and fall off.

That's a botox person smiling... laughing... crying... surprised.........

They have little bearing on my life.

I don't read newspapers as such, I watch little TV, I don't buy into the whole celeb culture thing and unless it's in my face, I am not really bothered who's flopping their waps out.

To that end, let 'em get on with it.

If others were as indifferent as I am on the issue, they would have little 'career' to talk of, but then again neither would a whole number of people engaged in an industry built around them and people like them.

They are merely small fry in a pond of much bigger and greedier fish.
