Thank you I turned to it when started my career and helped after crazy days.

After my assault I found when the bad thoughts entered by focussing on instructions and stuff calmed and gave order to me.

And after ex walking out done same again

You wrote what I was about to. Totally agree. Anything that helps is perfect.

I have an adult themed colouring calender, one page for every day of the week. Bought some more crayons yesterday. Love it.

by any other name....... Building with blocks is not childish. It's creative, inventive, problem solving. Architects and similar use prototypes a high proportion of their time. Some are drawn , some are 3D and some are simulations on computers but building blocks are not the preserve of children.

Not my thing - does my little swede in. There's only so much I can do with angles and no curves

I often advise people on the therapeutic benefit of lego after I discovered how it helped me.

Now I make stuff for fun, but also use it in times when I need to stop my brain from running away.

Do I find adults liking Lego childish erm yes, but then I do things and like things that you would probably find childish op, and I am honestly glad it has helped you through some tough times.

You are by no means alone in liking Lego in adulthood, my ex has an impressive collection and has passed on his obsession to our daughter, who is very fond of Lego mario at the moment.

I love lego, my son has dyspraxia and when he was much younger I found that playing with lego helped him so much with his hand eye coordination, all the blocks on the floor and actually being able to pick up a specific block was a real challenge for him, lego really did help a lot.

I also didn't know that you can buy giant concrete lego style blocks for building walls etc. The do literally fit together like lego blocks.

Definitely not odd or childish! Whatever helps you with mindfulness can only be a good thing

I wish I was into Lego, but I’m not. I wasn’t brought up with it, so never developed an interest in it later in life.

I do love colouring-in though! So therapeutic

Quite honestly, i have arounf 4 big storage boxes full i was saving for my kids, my dad cleared the loft out at theirs and asked if he could bin it NOPE i cried and belted down the lane and retrieved it... and my olf scalextrix. I got my best mate round ssome beers, pizza we retreated to the loft in my garage and had a great night building 'lego octane' and houses. Then set up the scalextrix up there (donnington circuit together with dunlop bridge & two Sierra cosworths) the memories came flooding back

I find it quite therapeutic building Lego. I have lots of it. Tend to build it once and then dismantle it and pop it back in the box.

It is certainly aimed more at adults now with the 18+ range of expert creator all retailing at over £80 and into the hundreds.

Used to like it, still have a massive bucket of mixed stuff somewhere.

OP, you don't have to feel bad in any case ay for liking it at any age (doesn't it say up to 99 on the boxes on some of them - and I've seen some really impressive builds too).

I like Warhammer, which is basically painting and playing with plastic soldiers. Don't care what anyone thinks about it, and you shouldn't feel like you can't talk about your hobbies.
