I have a concert video which I stuck on youtube and it now has millions of views, around 3.5 million

someone said you get cash for this but I have never been offered and have no idea who to approach if this is true

does anyone know if it is true that you can cash in from high viewing videos

it if not porn or nothing bad, just a simple recording of a song close up in concert.

I always assumed you stick adverts half way through the video then you get cash when people watch the ads

You earn from attaching advertising links within the clips. Everything someone clicks on the link you earn.

It's not much, but a high volume of cluck through makes the number add up.

Look into the YouTube settings on your account, I think the instructions/guides are in their somewhere, it's a long time since I looked.

You'd need to satisfy other criteria including minimum number of channel subscribers and be part of their affiliate/partner program.

I don’t think you would get anything from that video. I’m 99% sure if you went into your YouTube studio analytics, it would show that video has been flagged by the copywriters if you recorded a music concert.

I could be wrong though…

Yes. I don't know how monetisation works, but I'm pretty sure that it'd be struck for something to do with the artist's intellectual property

Very likely. To earn from YouTube is quite an involved and somewhat complex process. Much more than stick a video up and watch the money roll in.

Partnerships, sponsors, adverts, copywrite/fair use etc are all required or play their part to see any income from it.

Look up how to earn money through YouTube. I believe it’s more about how many subscribers you have over views.

I have watched YouTube videos in the past in which the creator goes through their earnings.

You have to sign up for google ads sens partnership

Use to be anyone could sign up but was spawn to meny millionaire so changed it to needing 1000 subs and 10k views a month for 6 months hard running back in 2018

If it was add before then

I have to tell you this

But base ad sens is 15 cent per viewer and can go up two 90 cent depending on sub count and monthly viewer count

You have left $525k on the table that’s £391644.96

Sorry to here op feel sad for you it’s hart brakeing when people don’t know

this has all been an interesting read, I now have over 5 million views on my post and I am just really pleased that over 5 million have actually viewed something I have recorded

even if there are no earnings to be made its good to know people actually take time out to view
