"Homemade Potato and Leek Soup with crusty bread "

Have you got best butter on your bread?

I always call it best butter after when we were kids and mom was broke...as a treat we'd have crust bread and best butter.

All other times it was margarine

You'd have been here tonight, you would have had Thia pan fried salmon cooked to Ken Hom's one wok wonder recepie to satisfy you. I'm not a Catholic, but I don't do meat on a Friday, that way when I get to the pearly gates, and St Peter reels off my misdeameanours of this life, I can at least say, "Yes Pete, but I didn't eat meat on a Friday, so can you go and have a word with the boss, and see if I can come in? If it works, my salmon could leave me very satisfied, and my mum wouldn't complain either. What's on the desert menu to satisfy would be your choice!

There's some boiled rice still left in the pan that I was going to add an egg to, with sakè and soy sauce in the morning for special fried rice, but I could warm it up with double cream and try and pass it off as rice pudding. Nothing goes to waste in this house.

I've done that in the past when we were skint. We've always been big rice eaters and with left over turned the boiler rice into rice pudding. We never had the luxury of cream though

I have a bit of an obsession with Sainsbury's Raspberry & Pomegranate Ice Tea

It's lush straight outta the fridge
