Why is everyone walking out into the traffic today

I must have stopped dead 3 times in the middle of the street today because of people walking out into the road

Gah! When I drive to my parents which is frequently, there's a street near them which I swear everyone assumes is pedestrianised. I am on high alert the whole time I'm driving down it.

Go look at the new highway code rules regarding pedestrians and cyclist.

Get ready to be stopping on roundabouts, junctions and everywhere else as they can now do almost as they please and it's down to the driver or whoever has the larger vehicle to take full responsibility for any accidents involving said pedestrians and cyclists

Or London. No idea how anyone is going to get anywhere down there with this whole pedestrians having priority thing. 3 hour wait to turn a corner in the centre?

They are 2 days early. From the 29th the Highway Code will change to pedestrians have right of way over cars…..

There's a guy who regularly cycles along the seafront here who'll be rubbing his hands in glee. He deliberately impedes drivers when there's absolutely no need to, if they stop he switched his helmet camera on and proceeds to insult them. He's done it to us and we've seen him do it to their people. On one memorable occasion he did it to a young guy who was having none of it. We had to laugh.
