Born in Halifax, moved to Doncaster when I was 2yrs old. Moved away to West Yorkshire for work when I was 21. Then lived all over the place from North of Scotland to Berlin to Dutch/German borderto Northern Ireland to Belize and a couple of other English bases when I was in the Forces. Lived in London when I finished in the Forces, now living in South Essex (for now!!), about 200 miles from Doncaster, which I regard as my home town.

BUT after all this time I've still got my Yorkshire accent and extremely proud of it. You know what they say - you can take the boy out of Yorkshire but you can't take Yorkshire out of the boy!!
