It'll be a Monsoon Malabar or a Sumatra Mandheling. That rules out most coffee chains, so it'll be a specialist coffee shop / artisan coffee house.

I'd expect them to do great made on the site cakes too in such an establishment.

I'd probably go for homemade shortbread, perhaps with cocoa nibs, and a light dusting of icing sugar, possibly a hint of vanilla.

Decor important. Nice comfy club chairs. Low coffee tables. Decent coffee table books (post-modernist architecture, collected works of Monet, that sort of thing).

Talking point art on walls. Minimally-invasive music. (Perhaps one of the Buddha-Bar compilations).

Agreeable temperature.

Not too busy, not too quiet.
