Profiles that change location a lot.

I have been chatting to a few people (both men and women) recently, and their profile location seems to change semi regularly.

I find this super suspicious. Am I wrong in thinking this?

Please enlighten me fab forum.

I change mine sometimes so it's not set to my actual location. I'll sometimes change it to places we may be visiting.

Could travel for work

Could be in outlaying place bween to big places like I am ie Glasgow and Edinburg so changing to get different search

Could be they take trips away for overnights and stuff

Or it could be something else

Will say if it doesn’t feel right question it if you don’t like the ancwer or it smells wrong walk away

Work in different locations.

Visiting friends.

Changing location to increase catchment area for pic Fabs.

Usage of "sorry you're too far away" to avoid abuse when turning people down.

This or perhaps just curiosity. I've changed my profile location often in the past from north and south as I live outside mainland UK.

We never put our correct postcode to be more discreet. We change it sometimes to see what's happening in different areas.

I think there is a difference between your stated town of residence on fab and what your gps location is on fab (assuming you have that switched on on your phone).

I cant be bothered with changing our location. I know it changes when I'm on mobile, as guys contact us when we are on hols saying .....oooooo you are only a couple of miles from me , fancy a meet......bless em .

I change mine as move around with work. As I will be there for a couple of weeks at a time.

I don’t see anything suspicious about it. Plus it keep my actual location a little more secure.

It is also stated on my profile that I visited though areas regularly.

Lincolnshire

We live in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire so our location is somewhere in the middle.

Sometimes we’ll have it around our exact location if we are looking and together for a while.

Sometimes if we are going away for a weekend then we’ll change our location to see who’s around.

I live in Preston, my office is in Liverpool .. I travel to Luton, Kent, Oxfordshire, Bristol, London.. and that’s just a few, so I wouldn’t read into it too much OP

Incidentally, when occasionally viewing our blocked list we notice the majority of people we block have changed their area to somewhere miles and miles away, we don’t even open messages from people who live more than 20 miles away so we assume that a lot of people mooch the site, then change their location to try and chat to us, sad but true and clearly our blocking measures are on point anyway as they’ve generally been blocked for something annoying or bullshit detector going off anyway!

I travel a fair amount for work and pleasure so change my location as needed.

Sometimes if I know I’ll be in a different postcode I’ll change it to see what’s available and arrange meets in advance.

If we are visiting a different part of the country, we will change the postcode a few days before to search in that area, to get chatting to locals beforehand. X
