What do you LIKE to be called

After the popular thread of "what don't you like be called"

Let's say what we LIKE to be called... I'll start....

By the right person and in person, calling me stunning makes me tingle...

Familiarity breeds contempt, and being called stunning no longer does it for me. It’s too easily dispensed on here.

Funny and intelligent are good for me.

Or beautiful and pretty

My partner has shortened my name since we first met and introduced me to everyone that way so, actually, I like people using my full name.

Thinking more of pet names, anything that feels genuine and not something used for everyone. I give my friends nicknames and they are always based around an in joke or something peculiar to them. That's the kind of nickname I like.

Bach or sidan, both are terms of endearment in Welsh meaning little or silk. Was called bach by one of the elderly security guards last week it was lovely. Sidan is what you elders call younger people where I'm from.

My shortened first name. Chick or Shortie as been nicknames a long time.

Anything else all depends on who is saying it, when it is said and there is a naturalness about it rather than forced

There are a couple of names I would only answer to if Bob called me by them.

Other than that, I like being called either a shortened version of my real name (but not a shorter shortened one that people often use) or actually quite like being called Posh. It makes me chuckle.

On the forum I have adopted the abbreviated version of my profile name, NBVN. Yet I love it when I see Mr NBVN refer to me as Her Ladyship on threads.

I am not so keen on people messaging me with familiarity on initial messages, hun/babe/sexy and even beautiful don't really feel special when I know nothing of the person saying it.

Away from Fab Mr NBVN has so many nicknames for me I have lost count. Some are a play on my real name and go on forever and others are just playful swear words... I respond to them all

My friends have also created a nickname for me based on my real name, and another nickname is apt because I win against the guys at Wordfeud

I suppose I am not bothered by being given a nickname but it depends on who the person is and the context of giving it.

NBVN x
