Well I for one love pie, in fact most kinds of pie, all and any, BUT I am taking pie with pastry, not mash on top, fish pie isn’t pie it’s fish mush pot, doesn’t count.

Meat and potato, steak and onion, chicken and mushroom etc, also apple pie and cherry pie etc. all good!!! Also love puddings, like rag pudding and steak and kidney pudding etc. excellent! I love food in general, I would say my least favourite pie is cheese and onion :/

Sausage pie is a slab of sausage meat and it’s wrapped in pastry. Very similar to sausage roll.

Mines about 20cm diameter and a good 5cm deep.

Usually accompanied by backed beans and probably cheese and Humous for me.

Normal Leo apple have normal veggies with it.

"Well I for one love pie, steak and onion, chicken and mushroom etc, also apple pie and cherry pie etc. all good!!"

I couldn't have put it better myself.

It pains me to say that, despite across the road from Sammy's Bakery in St Helens, for 7 odd years, I thought that I had been in a good place pie wise. I wasn't wrong.

However, that has been beaten by the Railway Inn, Wigain as they has An amazing pie that was served on a cloud of Stilton mash served with gravy and a pint of their pie themed IPA.

Town rivalry aside, that was the best pie I've had. So I left a review online. The pint washed it down quite nicely.

A return visit is a must.

Getting hungry now. thinking about it.

Goodbye Pork pie was a New Zealand film about a road trip in a Mini that fell apart. Not unlike a Top gear challenge.

Yes, it was the original flavour and it did a few nods-and-winks to a certain caper.

Can't pick just one but I made a great fish pie the other day and just loved that. A steak and ale made well is great too. Nice crispy pastry though

And you can't beat a proper apple pie (germans seem to make it so well) with plenty of cinnamon and a big dollop of vanilla ice cream. Yummy
