Is Fab Antiquated?

I'm wondering what all your thoughts are on this website. It seems very antiquated now, so am just wondering what you guys like about it, what you don't like, what you would change etc?

In the olden days we used buy things called contact magazines. You put an advert in it, people would send a letter and pics to the magazine who would forward them onto you after about 2 weeks. This is a bit better!

Depends what you mean by antiquated. Lay out, features, user base?

Lay out is pretty basic and could be improved, searches could be much better and someone with geographic knowledge to sort out the hopeless regional selections would help.

The options for user type is out of date, there is no option for transgender people, tv/ts simply implies a transvestite who changes their mind about their sexuality sometimes. TS does not mean a transgender person.

User base, well most people on the site don't actually appear to be 'swingers' as they seem to be just looking for one-on-one, others seem to look for a relationship or socialising rather than sex.

So, perhaps there are parts of the site that could do with bringing into the 21st century but as a social platform with info about events and clubs on the scene it is adequate for most.

I like the site. I do agree it has changed but I think that is the people who have joined more recently than anything to do with the site itself.

I would like to see better categorisation of pictures and maybe suggest profiles of interest in a better way but I still keep coming back

It is slightly archaic, but has a lot going for it too

It’s the only one I know of that has a forum attached, and I see this as a huge plus.

Anyone complaining really needs to give their heads a shake - no other platform is advert free, and that means a lot, there's really nothing

annoying from that perspective. Yes, the site could be done with an overhaul cosmetically and some of the features be enhanced, but some people don't like change and it's perfectly serviceable as it is. I love it (Admittedly I'm new so can't really be trusted for an opinion )

I suppose it is when compared to other "flashy" websites, but it has a basic functionality that makes it usable. Of course there will be a multitude of extra functions that people would wish for, but it's advert free and free/cheap so I'm not sure that I'd want it to change if it means there is a risk of losing those things.

I don't get the complaining about it, you have a choice, either use it or don't use it. Nobody forces you to stay here....You also don't have to be a site supporter. It's much better value than some sites
