You’ve winked me, i wink back,

Then nothing……

Sometimes they’ll wink me again weeks/months later, so i wink back,

Then nothing.

Wtf?! Ive no qualms messaging first and have done previously but really who is supposed to make the next move?

Or do folk just like winking?

Who ever winks first should send the first message if the wink is returned

It's probably the shock of them getting a wink back, it's unknown territory so they freeze like a rabbit in headlights

We tend to respond to a wink with a message and pics if we like what we see, or thanks and a polite decline if we don’t like what we see.

I guess they are just shy?

Actually, maybe they didn’t see you’d winked back

Hmm maybe they are just stupid

Never just you. Fab distorts all our views on reality.

I was on tinder a few months back and anytime I saw a girl with an interest in photography, my mind read pornography

I do this. Sometimes I message with the word wink.

But only to friends listers!

I don’t know why I do this…

I don't play wink tennis. If we both winked once, one of us has to make the first move!

I've had one wink since signing up (3-4 weeks ago), I replied, we chatted, she shared pics, and the she vanished! I never even had the chance to repulse her with a face pic!

"I have had the odd wink and I message and nothing… I thought some accidental winking might be occurring "

That's really bad when someone winks, you take the trouble to message and they never even bother to reply if only to say sorry I winked by mistake

I sometimes wink back and leave it to them to message. Sometimes I don't because I see a wink as a little nod of appreciation of my profile and nothing more. Same as a fabbed pic. It's just someone likes that photo, not a request to get a message.

I don’t send the first message no more after winking. I’ve seen the screenshots of DM’s that have been shared in third party off site group chats from blokes making the first contact with ladies. I don’t subscribe to that shit.

We’ve had some super hot people with loads of meet veris ignore our return wink, so probably not that!

We just assume it was a half-hearted contact that they’ve no real interest in deepening, or a better option also winked back!

Yes! We’ve had couples who have not only winked but fabbed photos as well.

We respond with a wink back or in some cases a message and then…..sweet FA.

Even more bizarre they will then look at our profile regularly

We've had many like this. We put on the private notes when they've winked. They don't get a second wink, we're not playing wink tennis!

I've done this precisely once, purely because I couldn't think of a single damn thing to say to that specific person.

They didn't message me either, mind. Communication's a two-way street, after all.
