"Bullet takes some beating, but French Connection is quite hairy"

As well as directing the French Connection William Friedkin also directed a film called To Live and Die in L.A. Check the car chase out, loads of clips on you tube.

Matrix 2 was OK, but too much CGI

Hence the votes for Bullitt and Ronin ... in my opinion

There’s another one I can’t think the name of.

The plot is a guy delivering a mustang ( I think) across the US.

Can’t remember why but the police try to stop him and he just keeps going.

There is a running commentary of the whole thing fro a blind black DJ on a pirate radio.

The star is the same bloke who played Petrocceli.

I think.

Whenever I think of ‘Heat’ it’s the gun battle outside of the Bank I remember the most.

But apart from Steve McQueen looking totally cool it’s the car chase in Bullitt that I remember most.

"Bullet takes some beating, but French Connection is quite hairy"

Legend has it that the production were too late requesting permission from the City of New York to get the roads closed. They just went for it anyway early in the morning. Some of shots are of ordinary motorists and people not extras or stunt people.
