Do you have any words of wisdom that you live by? A piece of advice that's got you through? Or the opposite, something that's messed you up?

I have a few but one of my favourites is: if you need to say a thing, say the thing. Even if you fear the consequences. Even if it will change your life. Bottling up an essential truth never ends well.

Don't let negative people/thoughts live rent free in your head.

It's a fairly new one but I realised I was carrying around a lot of energy that wasn't serving me (fuck this is a douchy millennial post but sod it) so I've been getting rid of it. This is a nice little reminder of that.

I've learnt to never say 'it's not the size of the boat, it's the motion in the ocean' after you've slept with someone

It was when I was young and thought I was paying the guy a compliment - how wrong was I - oops

As for life motos , we just always say don't do anything that makes you unhappy , lived by this and so far had a very happy life
