As with everything, as long as it’s between two consenting adults it shouldn’t be a problem.

Depends on the circumstances, and stuff. I've said it once or twice and enjoyed it. The other times not so much

I'm not that struck on being called daddy actually.

It draws my attention to my beard.

If you don't like it you should communicate that. All boundaries should be adhered to.

Don't like it at all. Last time I was in the club this guy kept saying "I'm your daddy, call me daddy" then he slapped me on the face. Told him to stop, no slapping. It wasn't a hard slap, it was obviously a kink of his but it's not my kink. Put a stop to it and his daddy calling kink too x

He should never have done. You don’t force your kinks onto someone.

Both are things that should only take place between two consenting adults.

I don’t mind, I’m mainly trying to help the other enact fantasy or come out their shell etc.

I won’t stifle them.

However with an actual partner I wouldn’t like it.

The ability to separate the meanings of words is a wonderful thing.

Prostitutes in 1621 originally used daddy as a name for their pimp. A caregiver/guardian role.

In the right dynamic it can work. I prefer it to being called Sir, Master, Lord etc. and it rolls off the tongue easier than Supreme Leader.

Its not about role playing or replacing someones biological father, its just a title/honourific used to indicate a caregiver role.

We have had play partners that enjoy DDMD/lg use it, as well as more traditional D/s partners use it. We don’t force it upon people, if they don’t like it so be it, we find something else for them to use.

I'm very open that it's a kink of mine...

Both ways actually, I don't mind being Mummy (or Daddy... the joys if being GQ) with the right submissive partner.

This is it. The ability to separate the meanings of words.

Love this

It is a caregiving role. It’s nurturing, guiding, supporting.

My ex is half Puerto Rican, and "Papi" was used often, not just sexual but affectionate to, and not just by her but closer to a cultural thing. It's less about a parental thing and more about the role/relationship behind the word.

I suspect the pimps cared more about the earning potential of the prostitutes

At the end of the day each person decides how they take the meaning of the word Daddy.

For me It conjures up an image of my guide, my protector, a gentleman who is admired by others who would support me in whichever way he could

From the right person in the right scenario it isn’t an issue with me.

TG has mentioned before in previous posts that I play that role just without her ever saying it.
