our neighbour is around our age and he's a big gamer and into his gadgets, fair play eah to their own. he's a crackin lad who we get on with the whole 4 yaers of knowin him. Our problem is,his spare room is now his 'gaming' room (knocked thru to his b/room). so recently till midnight/early hours all we can hear is him! if we can hear him, surely he can hear us. Its like were tip towing around in our own house,we cant have a proper conversation without whispering. sex, well its like we're kids again trying not to make a noise

we dont accom for this very reason

cant play downstairs due to having pets and being all open plan..

Anyone else have same problem?

Just turn up the Hitachi and put it on the wall and make appropriate noises, I'm sure he'll get the message.

No, we're detatched so can make as much noise as we like! But having someone hearing us having sex wouldn't be a problem. Z

Use some sound block plasterboard on the party wall not too expensive to get done and works very well if your really loud you might need two layers .....

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

I used to have appalling neighbours till I had them evicted (with help from other neighbours they were disturbing and threatening).

The last one was a very nice man. I felt sorry for him as I can be a bit loud in full swing! LOL

I might add I am in a flat and he lived in the one below!

I miss living in a semi detached house. We're back in terraced and I can hear next door moving around and their daughter crying, dog howling etc so they must be able to hear us at it. Especially during our day time quickies x

My flat is above a workspace owned by the landlord.

He is in there 6 days a week from 8am til noon so I don't accom during those times.

Not that they are peak times for people wanting to meet, thankfully.

I didn't read the op properly - ooops! It would really annoy me to hear someone next door when i'm trying to get to sleep! He must lie in later in the mornings - i'd have another little word and if he keeps doing it make sure you makemore noise in the morning to wake him up! Z

I'm sure the neighbours can hear me, but it's almost like revenge for the dog howling the house down when they go out and being woken up every sunday night when they come in from the pub rowing!

Dame here, I've put 2inch thock insulated plasterboard between headboard and wall, can still hear them!Don't think they have carpets so that doesn't help.

They usually have full blown arguements at 730 each morning and wake us up, when we have late night sex and am sure we wake them up, so 6 of 1 half dozen of the other, but we get more fun

Maybe he'll get curious and come calling one day!!

7:30, wow that's a lie in! Ours have a habit of watching Bollywood films at 5am!!! So I don't give a hoot if they hear us!

Never worry about my neighbours hearing me at it. What bothers me more is there Damn dog howling the house down when they are at work 12 hours a day . So a little noise from me during sex is nothing. Thankfully I'm not a roof rattler .lol

We just have one lot of neighbours and if we make to much noise tough, they argue and fight, waking us up in middle of night too. I am past caring what they think anymore!!
