But if someone wants to call themselves an artist for placing a load of house bricks on the floor then crack on.. | |||

She's recently recovered from bladder cancer and is looking to set up a space for other artists in a building in her home town. I suspect she might disagree with some of the actions of the current pm. | |||

The art piece should stand by itself, and create or evoke an emotional reaction in the observer. The problem with a lot of 'conceptual art' is that the concept has to be explained. Look at Duchamp's 'fountain' for example. | |||

" We saw something similar at Tate modern, I still think some of it was spoof by the maintenance staff..

If it pleases me, makes me think or ask myself questions or gets me talking to people about anything but the flaming weather I'm happy. | |||

It’s full of Artists and Musicians now (the reason she moved there) and has overtaken Brighton as the “in” place to be. Unfortunately it’s become full of wealthy London 2nd home owners in the last few years that has made prices zoom. I’m sure if Tracey sets up an Artist space that allows local people from a low income to work there it will be very welcome. | |||
