I downloaded the Google Currents app to my phone this morning.

When I finished work, I opened my phone and it's created a 4 digit password and locked me out!

I've popped into an unlocking place but I'm told I will lose everything on my phone.

I have a Samsung.

Help, pleeeeeeaseeeeee!

Can I unlock it?

Does your work place use Google Currents? As it’s a work tool tied to a work account…

During the set up it will have asked for one, try your birth year or card pin. It will need to be wiped if you don't remember.

Have you tried the bog standard 1234? That’s usually a default until you change it, however I’ve really no idea sorry

If you do regular back up, you won’t lose everything on your phone as your backup is in the cloud

Oh my days, it's only an app, why would it ask me for a PIN and then apply it to my phone?

Can you not access your Google account via a laptop or desktop, then reset your pin from the admin drop down there (should have a forgot pin option)

Your Google account will be your username and password

Here is Google support's section on changing your PIN if you forget it.
