Hi Ash - and good evening everyone.

Just watched the last episode of After Life so I’m a mild emotional wreck.

Pondering whether it really is ‘Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all’. (I’m sure someone here can tell me who wrote that). Other than family - who I adore - I’ve never loved like that.

The scene at the kids hospice had me in bits. May my kids live to bug the hell out of me until long after I’m gone. I also ordered my pup not to die until he’s very, very old. It’s bloody ridiculous how attached you get to them.

Anyway - if anyone hasn’t watched it yet I’d highly recommend it. Tissues and giggle muscles at the ready. Xx

I’m in bed already

I've been meaning to ask you for ages because I remember you saying you were gonna start sleep yoga, did you ever try it?

I did it once. It was nice, but turns out I’m not a fan of evening exercise (other than the obvious )

Oh I might give it a go. X"

It was very relaxing. Let me know how you get on

"Good evening Ash

Good evening Mrs B....have you been caught out with out an umbrella recently

No, I carry a very fine umbrella with me everywhere now

Do you wear a hat and dark glasses while walking around in public with it?

I probably should!

I was saying at work yesterday how you were all stealing teaspoons for me in London too

And tea bags in Manchester.

I think you two have a secret habit. I remember you asking if I wanted anything pinched from your hotel breakfast! And I know you like hotel toiletries.

Where there is a will there is a way..anything for you Mrs B....

I’m not going to feed your habit

I actually took the tea and coffee Sachets from the hotel on Friday night to put in the bags for when you guys come to London.

Did they have fruity ones?

I may have got a fruity one just for you.

Aww thank you. I’ll bring some posh biscuits to go with it. Just don’t tell Ash "

"Hi Ash - and good evening everyone.

Xx

I think it sounds too raw for me I'm afraid Peachy. Like "It's A Sin" which I'm told is bloody brilliant, but I fear would leave me in pieces on the floor. "

Now ‘it’s a sin’ was a different kind of masterpiece - but one all the same. I struggled to comprehend how horrifically those poor boys/men were treated - even by their own families in many cases.

I think everyone should watch it though. It’s an important piece of social history. Xxx

You actually need glüe for hobnobs. You have to glue each flake of wheat together, that's why they're such robust biscuits *nods*

I'm a bit subdued tonight. I had an interview today for a job I'd really like. Because I want it, nerves got the better of me. I didn't do myself justice. I said some things they liked. But I didn't do myself justice. Oh well.

"Good eeeeeeeeeeeeeeevening Jim. Best of luck with the job interview thingy. I hope the role is as Head of the Shrewsbury Tourist Board. You'd be a shoo-in. Did you use your big park erection in your presentation?

Good eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevening, KC and the Moonlight Band. I didn't bring out the big park erection.

Well, whatever you did, you will always be MY go-to guide in Shrewsbury. And possibly Worcester.

You should write a book: "Wetherspoons of the World.."

There is a couple that has done just this, they have visited every single weather spoons in the country. "

that’s a helluva lot of walking to go for a pee and that’s after you are in the Wetherspoons

"100 days to go!

How many hours?

And how many Swedish hours is that equivalent to? Remembering that a trip to Ikea can slide you forwards 18 hours or backwards 2 years depending on the wormholes in the carpets section...

I don't know why. But I just read that sentence and sang it in my head to the tune of Smoke on the Water.

It's a little known fact but the song Smoke On The Water was written when Deep Purple were rehearsing in Switzerland, and Ritchie Blackmore went up the mountain. He took a bag of fruit with him as a good healthy snack. Up on the ski slopes the bag slipped from his hand, when he picked it up he found that he had got snow on his banana, and was immediately hit by inspiration. The rest is musical history.
