Not mine but about 8 years ago I cleared out someone’s house who had died, in the cellar were boxes of tinned food from the 1970s… Most were just like they were off the shelf new but some had blown out

Funny you should say that as I did find a tim of soup the other day with a 2006 date on. The thing is that the cupboards get cleaned and tidied up regularly. No idea how it was missed.

I just threw a couple out with summer 2020 on. I do clean out my cupboards regularly so never got any decades out or anything!

When my parents got a new kitchen my mum had a tidy up and found food colouring and flavours that had price labels ending in a half pence. They were too old to have a best before date
