How's my driving

We see these stickers on the rear of a lot of commercial vehicles. Has anyone ever called the number to complain or praise the driver?

I haven't, although sometimes I really should have, to get the idiot driver fired.

I’ve got one on my van.

It’s the number for the Buckingham palace switchboard.

Nr. Oxford

I’ve called them a couple of times when the driving has been dangerous. There aren’t many instances of ‘good driving’ where you can call them. Hey, your driver stopped at a red light, good work, give them them a pay rise!

I also reported a local taxi for driving erratically, looked to be d*unk.

The poor person on the switch board just said , ‘ah, that’s old Harold. It’s his company and we can’t stop him driving.’!

Reminds me of the Jasper Carrott sketch where he calls the number and gets put straight through to the driver in front of him

I did once when a tanker driver almost pushed me into the central barrier on a motorway.

I called literally 5 mins after it happened and the guy on the other end said he already had a dozen calls about the incident and would look into it.

He called back later in the day to say the driver was normally a country driver and wasn't used to motorways or cities and he wouldn't be sent on those routes in future

Yes I did. I was following a van and he was all over the road from one side to the other. I was wary as we were going down a straight road and I knew there was a sharp corner coming up. He never slowed down until he was on the corner and he slammed his brakes on to get round the corner. How he didn't crash is a miracle.

I was concerned he was either ill or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
