"Nimrod. " Every time, but even more so on a particular day in November. I made my daughter learn it on the trumpet so she can play it at my funeral.

"Find The River by R.E.M A day after losing a good friend on a white water canoeing trip on the West Lyn, this song came on the car radio. After the previous days trauma of rescuing him then trying to revive him, this beautiful song was just too much. I had to pull over and bawled my eyes out. I still can’t listen to it without tearing up." That's so sad and a traumatic experience for you

That's so sad and a traumatic experience for you " It affected the group that paddled that day in different ways - about half never got in a kayak again, for me I doubled down on the resuscitation training - in the years that followed, somewhat unexpectedly (just being in the right place at the right time I guess) I’ve actually used those skills - I’ve lost two (massive heart attack / chest trauma so no chance) but got two back who had stopped breathing (recommend chest compressions to the Prodigy- Breathe… With Me, inhale, inhale, you’re the victim )

"Kenny Rogers - Ruby, dont take your love to town. Billy Joel - Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel). Just listened to both and barely keeping control. " Kenny Rodgets very underrated. I like to sing the Gambler by Kenny
