The only banana left if the house and it’s a hard one. They taste bloody awful when they’re hard. Can anyone help me, and swap it for a soft one please?

I have 5 over ripe bananas which are too ripe for me but am tempted to use in a banana loaf cake next weekend. You are welcome to a few.

Mush it in a plate with a fork. I understand what you mean though. The hard, green ones and very dry too. Makes your mouth all tacky.

I don't think I'd be able to make anything soft though...

Hate a hard one. They are utterly lacking in taste.

Unfortunately I only have a couple of brown ones, which I shall put in a cake.

Does that work, or will you be giggling if I actually do that?

Yeah it traps the gases that bananas (and all fruit/veg) emit and makes it ripen quicker. Have you ever put a perfectly ripe banana in your bag in the morning and by lunchtime it's gone black?

I like them soft. Much sweeter and tastier.

The green unripen looking ones are always so much harder to peel is well.

I leave them out of fridge so the heat ripens them ready to eat.

I only eat hard ones, hate them when they have gone bright yellow and mushy

Not really sure I have ever come across a hard banana! Do you mean like it’s still green and unripened?
