Like to someone you like genuinely fancy but they don’t know?

Have you had one or sent one in recent years? What was the outcome?

I think I only ever did that once, when I was about 14. She never knew who sent it, and I never did get to snog her. Seems like a waste of money in hindsight.

I had a card once a long long time ago.. I lived in a hostel at the time, my friend in the place came into my room, stood on said card, skated across the room and nearly broke her neck…. So funny….. never did find out who sent it

I used to like it back in the day before hallmark got hold of Valentines Day. It was all about sending an anonymous card to someone you fancied. Not the full on money-making spectacular it is now a days. Seems to be the onus on men mainly, to not only buy flowers and a card but a gift and take their oh out for a meal. I’ve seen men panicking because they think they haven’t spent enough and I’ve seen couples rowing because someone expected more or different to what they received.

So agree with this, it’s just a money making day for businesses and stress day for men, absolutely no need for it. If you feel that way why wait until one day a year to send a simple message ?

I admit that ages ago, in high school, I sent out a CD anonymously (they did a secret valentines), with songs that made me think of him (my school crush)… if I think back, I wanna bury myself!!!

we have St Dwynwen's Day (or 'Dydd Santes Dwynwen' in Welsh) on 25 January

as it's 4 days before our first wedding anniversary we will celebrate it but probably not with cards but a more exciting way lol

I actually get really pissed off if anyone sends me a valentines card or gives me a gift...it doesn't mean anything if they just feel they ought to because the card shops and florists say they should. The same gesture would mean a million times more on any other day of the year.
