I must have been incredibly lucky - we split for a reason, and while we had a few ups and downs during the separation... we never really slagged each other off, caused each other damage and in a way we remained loyal towards each other, and not just as a show for the children.

The children in turn benefitted from that atittude and when asked today never felt they had to side with either of us.

We are not what one would call friends today in that we socialise or have the samle circle of friends... but we have always respected each other and for that I am really grateful. Guess I was really really lucky.

I have unfortunately a few failed relationships behind me. Have had one stalk me, one cheat, one destroy my confidence and one say that I'm this fat at 26. Have now given up completely and am currently trying to enjoy being single. I love it most of the time.

My ex is the father of my children, I picked him, so if he were a knob - what would that make me?

Truth is, he isn't. He's a major help to me as it would be a struggle finding the university fees on my own. My other daughter is also out of work and he's paying all her bills and giving her money for interviews etc.

As they're 21 and 25 - he's not "obliged" to help but he does. He's also saved me a fortune by clearing my gutters for me.

You must have loved him once - you had a kid with him didn't you. If he doesn't pay maintenance then you could start court proceedings to make him pay, if you don't then you can't really have any grounds for complaint.

My ex refused to let me see our 2 boys - reason? I was in the RAF and was never there to see them! Er, sorry - her fault because she would not move with me and take up married quarters. So how could I see the boys? Long way home from some of the overseas places I went to. By the time I finished my time in the RAF,we'd divorced due to her having 'a nice time' and she was 'fed up' with me while I was away. Still wouldn't let me see the boys as "you were never around while they were growing up" as she put it. WTF!!!

Talk about go round in circles. I offered maintenance, she wasn't satisified and went to Court. The Judge - a woman - looked at all the circumstances, including the fact my ex had remarried & her new fella was earning in excess of £45k -that was 20 years ago - and awarded her the sum of 5p per year 'to ensure open access to the children'. I offered to pay her 10 years up front but she refused!!

Unfortunately, I think that's what happens in most break-ups. It's possible to remain 'friends' but only if the split was a mutual decision and there was no treasury.

Ring the police and tell them what he's threatening to do (you don't say what he wants to stop him sending it). I think you'll find that he's breaking the law using sex imagery/film to threaten you. The material is as much yours as it is his and you have a say in who should/not see it.
