Does any worry about sending a face pic with the first message just incase it's someone you know well?

Obviously if they have face pics on their profile it's not an issue....

No, it’s not something we worry about. If it turns out to be someone we know, we’ll laugh it off. If they’re on here, it’s for the same thing so discretion from them shouldn’t be an issue ideally.

I read this idea often. Why does it matter that they 'see' you if they don't have a pic BUT it's okay if they 'see' you if they DO have a pic ?

What's the thinking behind that ?

I got nothing to hide other then my privacy. Some people can be care free about who knows, others like me whos work would be seriously affected need to be careful.

So if your bin man has a face pic he can know you are on here cos he won't tell on policemen or teachers but he would tell if he didn't have a face pic ?

If I see a picture and we don't know each other then it's not an issue.

This bothers me too, not so much in case it’s someone I know but more because there’s so many nutcases that want to take advantage of others. I’m quite well known in my local area and I’m sure someone would use my photo against me.
