Waver by day, waver flasher when it starts to get later in the day and a flasher by night. Courtesy costs nothing.

It depends on who and where it is. If its someone I fancy I just creep up behind them and lick the back of there neck. If its just random strangers outside bingo throw gang signs.

Can be dangerous.

Flashing is used more for giving way, rather than been given way.

What about the hazard light, that's another one. In 30 odd years of driving. I guess tried them all

Wave if I’m sure they can see it.

Quick “left-right-left” on the indicators if they’re behind me (too long driving lorries

)

I try and avoid flashing the headlights, as it can be misconstrued by others, and at night it can dazzle, particularly modern motors with super-bright lights. My Land-Rover has a floor mounted dipswitch anyway, and no means of giving a quick flash like a modern car if the lights are off.

A guy once put his hand out the window for a 'big wave'.

My instinct was to give him a high five but I got flustered and I missed my chance. Probably a good thing as I'm almost certain it would not have ended well.

I wave/flash in the daytime, and just quickly flick my lights down to sidelights at night (because I bloody hate having my retinas burnt by full beam at night, so I'm not going to do it to anyone else)

Mostly wave unless it's too dark to see a wave then I flash but sometimes there isn't a chance to as you're too busy with other aspects of driving and then you worry they'll think you're rude.

I do this for people behind me such as people who let me in to a lane or out of a junction. It's easy for me though because my hazard light button is a big red triangle on the centre console so easy to find

I’m a waver and I’ll wave sarcastically if I’m not thanked when I let someone out. I also mouth “you’re welcome”. It makes me feel better if nothing else.
