Yep, sounds like the battery isn't charging properly. Same thing happened to mine.

1/ It is not good to turn PC's off every night

2/I assume you mean a lappy

3/ Yes do not overcharge as can ruin the battery

4/ Shove it a bit harder - the adapter

5/Contact IT support
