Folkestone

We finally watched the Beatles film on Disney+. What a fantastic insight, gave us a real appreciation if their collective greatness. If you have time to spare, have a look.

I keep meaning to set aside the eight hours. I've done the first hour and loved it. It's like they're just there in the corner of the room.

I mean, just how spectacularly brilliant was this??!!

Whilst not being a Beatles fanatic, and before my time, I was totally blow away by the richness of this 'documentary' - inspiring, thought-provoking and thoroughly entertaining. It left me bereft when it was all over and renewed my respect for those four men....and Billy Preston!

I was hoping for a sort of "where are they now/what happened later..." to the other notable participants: the director, the roadie, the sound engineer, the two police officers! etc.

Fareham

The roadie Mal Evans was shot dead by US police in the mid 70s for brandishing an air rifle.

Fareham

Things we learned.

Paul was the unofficial leader.

Yoko wasn’t as bad in the studio as previously portrayed.

Mel could get his hands on anything.

George was no sartorial match for Glyn.

The band got by on endless rounds of toast.

West Wales and Cardiff

I’ve only seen bits, but what I’ve seen is wonderful.

The key thing for me - I don’t think you have to be a Beatles fan to enjoy it. It’s just a fascinating insight into creativity, personL interaction, the pressure of being in the biggest band ever and the 1960s.
