Anybody do it? What have you got? Where do you go?

I do but not as often as I like (sounds like another of my hobbies

) Two bikes, Scott Genius full suspension and Giant Terrago hard tail. Been to Sherwood Pines Forest nr Mansfield today. Also done Dalby Forest, Grizedale, Winlatter plus a few more in the past. Would like to hear what others do?

Used to ride a Kona Explosif but now all my off roading is done on a cyclo-cross bike. There is little around here that can;t be easily negotiated on that.

I have to say biking is good for you. As I haven't been on mine for a while, iam slightly out of condition. Knackered but enjoyed it

used to have a scott 250 racer and me bloke had the scott 250 hybrid but sadly they got stolen .. a very special and kind friend on here has lent me his mountain bike for the short term till i get sorted with insurance and i have seriously fell in love with it .. a specialised mountain bike and me fella has a giant mountain bike that i refer to as the tank !!! ... he loves it though !

Do a fair bit of mountain biking, race in the scottish xc series and do a bit of endurance racing.

Tomorrow is first cx of the season tho. Should be fun.

Oooh a topic I can relate to!

I don't ride as much as I used to, and I've never been able to spend as much on my machines as I'd have liked but I've loved every bike I've had...

'95 Kona Lava Dome (upgraded over the years!)

'96 GT LTS Team (no longer in one piece as the pivots and shock wore out years ago)

'02 Kona Stab - Beautiful beast that I managed to crack in the Alps. Oops!

And finally, my baby - a Schwinn SuperStock II 24" cruiser that got taken from me before our time was up

Only own the Lava Dome now, but I've ridden many many more having worked in a shop for a while.

I still think like a biker tho...

I've rode quite a few top qaulity ones over recent years. Not owned them just tried them out on demo days at races. In one weekend I tried 6 bikes totalling over £15000.00. The dearest being a specialized something or other that was £5 grand. The best that I liked and suited my riding style was the cheapest. A giant X2. Fantastic bike. Still haven't got one though

Mine is strictly not a mountain bike, however, it is a very good folder with full suspension, a Dahon Jetstream XP, sufficient for light off-road use.

Good for the trails though. It's all about getting out there and having fun. There were lots of cyclists there today. Quite a few young ones on the red route as well. Tomorrows Wiggo's and Cav's.

Had quite a few over the last few yrs , recently sold my Titus and my Maxlight

.... Only have a on-one 853 single speed now and my Giant road bike

.... we also have a PINK on-one scandal in the shed but thats my lads

....

Have some good riding within 30 miles , cannock etc and the peaks a bit further up north .....

Ive lost my cycling mojo a bit this year and so not riding much .... hence selling some bikes

For me it is about having fun with the dog. He gets so excited he would "attack" the bike as if to say "hurry up so that I can run next to you".

Sounds a good idea. Perhaps a fab swingers ride out. Then a open air bonk in the woods. Better hurry and arrange before it gets to cold, brrrrr lol

got a saracen sahara mtb but only rode the one race out nr wyre forest some years ago,usually am out on my colngo slx spiral conic with ultegra groupset,although i will be going offroad again i think this winter for fun rides.

I have a Kona Caldera, love it, but I'm not very good, enjoy the pretty trails through forests and by rivers to the hardcore stuff!

I couldn't combine it with swinging as my ladies bits get too much of a battering! Do love to perv the hot male riders tho, and hopefully will be on 3-4th November at the Newquay downhill race in West Wales

We've got two konas a Hoss and a Dawg as well as a Trek Ex8 and a Claud Butler olympus. The Mrs doesn't get out on hers much at the minute after she broke her collarbone when she went OTB doing the black route in Hamsterly forest.

I just have a mountain bike, it isn't a specialty bike or anything. But I do have 2 sets of tyres for it, 1 to road ride when I use it for commuting, and the other for when I take it off roading.

I went round a local woods the other weekend. Got muddy and wet, was excellent. I fell off when I got distracted by a squirrel. Love it!!

Have started riding again recently and loving it!

Got a about '96 specialized sportrock but picking up a boardman full suspension bike this week, will be a very weird thing to be on after no suspension!

Only ride round park hall in stoke at min, but been told to try hanchurch & apedale too, used to live right by Cannock chase so was on there alot!

I love bikes, i always have, I used to do loads of off road biking when I lived back home as I lived on the edge of Sherwood Forest, I still go everywhere on my bike tho there's not so many nice places to ride round her, I've just had a new bike a few months back I now have a Alpine Indian fire trail, ok they a bit pricey but If you use them a lot it's worth getting a good one as you can really feel the difference, I love it

I used to own six bikes. I'm now in rehab and down to three and probably a fourth if I built it - I build all my own stuff, fitting, wheelmaking the lot

I love off road riding and enjoy getting plastered up in mud and then heading for a nice warm shower after, so I can connect with that well - just watch out for the mushy leaves - slippery sods this time of year! lol

In my early years I used to ride competitively. One year did the Karrimor series. Have a Trek 6 series front sus. I consider myself lucky as I live within about 30 mins of 4 sets of purpose built trails at Lernie, Strathpeffer, Golspie and Abriachan. Not to mention the rest of the highlands in general!

Love it and get out as often as I can.

Am thinking of doing one of the 24hr events that are springing up everywhere, Mountain Mayhem etc.......anyone fancy entering a Fab team?! (poor choice of words I know!)

Pretty keen rider here, own an '04 Mount Vision Pro that's a bit like triggers broom - only rear swingarm/shock, wheels and bars original now. A Marin Wolf Ridge 6.8 for big mountain stuff and playing silly buggers.

Do the Mountain bike Marathon series every year, not really competitive but I did get a top ten placing in my age group once!

Was out at Lee and Cragg quarries yesterday, cold and wet but great fun.

Also have a Boardman road bike, did the C2C on that in under 11 hours.

Commute daily on a singlespeed as well.

Absolutely pissed it down from getting there on Friday right through to Saturday afternoon. When the sun came out it wasn't bad once we got out of the wind. We still had a top weekend though. Going to need a week or so of early nights to recover now.

I've got a Claude Butler mountain bike that has not been used for about two years and I've had it from new eighteen years ago.

Been left outside and rusted up in places. Just applied a rust remover a couple of days ago and going to apply a second time today.

Can't wait to get out in this sunny weather.
