Shameful Music

I’m a volunteer driver with a local charity. I pick up service users and take them to hospital appts. The ones who know me know I like music playing… also I think it relaxes them…. Usually it’s the good tunes that play…. Imagine my horror with a new (to me) SU and Pumbaa & Timon come on….. then some ransom 60s crap, and all the rest that’s usually played in private….. lol

What’s your guilty secret on your music list

I like Abba and certain opera and choral music but I'm not guilty about it. I'm so flaming old that people expect me to like stuff like that. They're usually more surprised when they see my Plan B album

Oh ABBA I like them too, but like you it’s not a guilty pleasure…. I also have Mickey Mouse on there but only because I have a Disney album and I haven’t removed Mickey songs lol (really must lol)

I don't have a guilty pleasure as I make sure people know I listen to everything from Herb Alpert to Cannibal Corpse.

I judge the coolness of my music collection by what's missing after our son has visited .

I did have two songs from Moana on my playlist because I liked them, but i play my music REALLY loud in my car, and they had a habit of coming on just after House of Pain’s Jump Around.

I feel so much better for sharing that.

Missin’ Yo’ Kissin’

My guilty secret is....

Kylie - "Can't Get You Out Of My Mind"

Katy Perry - "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F), but I think it's got "Kenny G" on it anyway. Don't really care if people think it's uncool. "Teenage Dream" is a solid good album! Also, love "Hot N Cold" - very retro!

I've also got some Lady Ga-Ga & Taylor Swift.

I also have a massive heavy rock collection.... (ahem)

You won't tell anyone will ya?)

Haha. Aw OP. It happens! I haven’t really got any musical guilty pleasures as I love what I love unashamedly.

I might avoid the ones with dance moves in public though just because I can’t resist doing the moves and I look ridiculous

I love all music, but on my phone (there's 80 gig on music) I have a couple that aren't considered cool by the mainstream! I organised a Hawaian night and bought a CD of songs for it - 2 of which made it on to my phone, as did 2 from Chicago and Marvin hamlish' Entertainer. Oh and a full album of Classical reworkings.

I'm not embarrassed though, I love 'em!

I like what I like and that can vary from some heavy metal and rock to the most beautiful classical and operatic and world music. Time and place and of course the right mood for anything. I like the fact that music often gives you an insight into the society of the time.

Well that’s a classic but Guten Morgen reminds me of a lovely holiday I went on a couple of years ago.

It's those little things that lift up our mood and a song can definitely do that.

I tell everyone that I'm into 70' and 80's punk, rock and new wave.

Among my most played songs on Spotify are ABBA, Kylie and The Carpenters.

Yes, I feel a little embarrassed.
