My old next door neighbour, everyone called him Tim. It was really confusing at the hospital and in the nursing home as they would call him Michael.

My mate Geordie, when his Mrs was using his real name to talk about him we thought she was seeing someone else!

I go by my middle name with all my groups of friends from every thing I do. In my home life, I'm known by my middle name by my wife, daughter, and their family.

My work and my family call me my Christian name. It's very confusing for people when the group's meet up.

I went by a nickname for so long when someone uses my correct name to this day it still takes me a second to realise someone is speaking to me

I've gone by my nickname for so long that quite a few people have no idea what my real name is.

My father in law's given name was Tim but everyone called him Freddie.

Never heard anyone ever call him Tim until I worked with him and a boss said it. Didn't know who he was talking to.
