King's Crustacean

I used to LOVE that as a kid.

You can make your own fish with paperclips on ..

Hours of fun.

People tie a strong magnet to a rope and throw it in rivers, in different places and pull out metal objects that people have thrown in

You’ll be amazed to see what gets thrown in a lot of weapons usually which they handover to the police

Using a powerful magnet to grab metallic objects from the bottom of canals and rivers, yes including things like guns. Know people who do and they sell metal as salvage. I can be quite profitable we take one on our kayaks just to see what we can find. Haven found a Russian sub yet though

I've found a cordless drill and a woodworking clamp on the two occasions I've tried it. Admittedly they were mine that'd I'd dropped in the canal while working on boats, but still counts.

If I tried that round here my line would probably get caught in an old shopping trolley or a stolen scooter and I’d fall in and die.

No. You have the magnet on the end of a piece of string.

You can have tiddlers and whales..... fab
