Has anyone used one.

We have a log burner and normally just use a brush to clean up the Ash.

But I can't reach the back of the log burner and the dust gets everywhere.

I tried using a Shark but the filters got blocked very quickly.

I have read some reviews on a well known shopping site

But has anyone actually used one ?

Yes. Bloody brilliant!

Just make sure that the Ash is cold and that there's no embers

Seaside Sussex

Another tactic is to use a trigger bottle to make a water mist which turns the fine ash into little clumps, shovel/ sweep into a (metal) bucket, out of your house abd onto your flower bed.

You're welcome

Ours was big enough to get a dustpan and brush in so only had to hoover the nocks and crannies once in a while. Used a Henry which had been faithful as the building site hoover when the house was built so worked well with the ash.

Since sold the house, Miss having a real fire!

Same here, Henry has a great suck, gets all the ash out of my stove

Yes. It broke very quickly. I just use a small shovel with a long handle

I only fully clean it out end of the burning season, leave a bed of ash in throughout that..

Near Wells

I had a chimney sweep come and do mine. He had a nice vacuum with a bag attached, absolutely no mess at all.
