"What were your best or worst impulse purchases during various lockdowns? Mine: Sage coffee brewer - absolutely indispensable now! vs. exercise bike (yes, same old cliché!) but we did at least sell it on for nearly what we paid " We bought far too much, Louboutin’s even though we couldn’t go out and a hot tub which was unreal at the early part of lockdown when the weather was amazing.

"The purchase was just before lockdown but it was to be used during summer which turned out to be lockdown... Garden reno with decking, grass turf, hedges and garden furniture. We couldn't have done that at a better time because we were outside everyday during lockdown!" Fair play

"A very expensive pillow for My partner. We would never have dreamed of spending that kind of money on a pillow but it's been a game changer so definitely the best purchase." Out of interest - how did you find it? I suffer from neck pain, been to a physio and doing exercises but cannot find a pillow that is comfortable!

"A huge wreath at Christmas last year. Looks great when up but I didn't think about the fact it doesn't fit through the loft hatch. Total impluse buy. PW " I have bought a few things that don’t fit through the loft hatch too. Lots of swearing and eventual laughter ensue

"A Dremel rotary tool to allow me to do loads more crafts... but had no idea which. Looking up what to do, I stumbled across wooden ring making and fell in love with doing that... but it doesn't use the Dremel. " That sounds cool

"Best: my basketball hoop Worst: the wrong size tyres for my wheelchair that I couldn't return and still have and taking up space in the house " Oh no! Is there a 2nd hand market for them?

"Best - £1000 worth of sex toys - changed my life completely!!! Worst - a slush cuppie for the bairns. They don't work, ever." That is a big wodge to drop on toys! Sounds like it may have been worth it though

"Best: my basketball hoop Worst: the wrong size tyres for my wheelchair that I couldn't return and still have and taking up space in the house " Done the wrong sized winyer tyres trying to help mother out. Ooh, the smell of baked fresh rubber!! Split them into 2x2 instead of a set if 4 and made £40 on them. Put them on Facebook.

"We bought very little in lockdown. But we did get a water play table and a swingball set for the garden. Classed it as an early birthday present for our youngest and they got all the kids out in the fresh air more. Swingball is great for a small garden " Got my kids a swingball - eldest gave me a black eye lol

Just shows that size matters. I ordered 1¼ inch by accident but my rims are 1 inch. That extra ¼ inch made all the difference
