What were your best or worst impulse purchases during various lockdowns?

Mine: Sage coffee brewer - absolutely indispensable now! vs. exercise bike (yes, same old cliché!) but we did at least sell it on for nearly what we paid

We bought far too much, Louboutin’s even though we couldn’t go out and a hot tub which was unreal at the early part of lockdown when the weather was amazing.

Got really close to buying a hot tub, not really got the space in reality… have you braved it in winter??

Wet vac from Screwfix £45

Unreal power, better than any normal hoover

And it Hoover's up liquids

Probably one of the best purchases I've made of all time followed by a Makita multi tool

The purchase was just before lockdown but it was to be used during summer which turned out to be lockdown... Garden reno with decking, grass turf, hedges and garden furniture.

We couldn't have done that at a better time because we were outside everyday during lockdown!

Looking up what to do, I stumbled across wooden ring making and fell in love with doing that... but it doesn't use the Dremel.

A huge wreath at Christmas last year. Looks great when up but I didn't think about the fact it doesn't fit through the loft hatch.

Out of interest - how did you find it? I suffer from neck pain, been to a physio and doing exercises but cannot find a pillow that is comfortable!

I have bought a few things that don’t fit through the loft hatch too. Lots of swearing and eventual laughter ensue

We bought very little in lockdown.

But we did get a water play table and a swingball set for the garden. Classed it as an early birthday present for our youngest and they got all the kids out in the fresh air more. Swingball is great for a small garden

Done the wrong sized winyer tyres trying to help mother out. Ooh, the smell of baked fresh rubber!!

Split them into 2x2 instead of a set if 4 and made £40 on them.

Put them on Facebook.

These are wheelchair tyres (could be bike tyres?) so it's only two. Just shows that size matters. I ordered 1¼ inch by accident but my rims are 1 inch. That extra ¼ inch made all the difference

Best: some art. Pre-lockdown I didn't spend much time at home, so I didn't notice how much it looked like a crackhouse. Bit of new furniture, bit of art, it now looks like Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen's crackhouse.

Worst: set of crochet hooks and some wool, bought with the intention of learning to crochet. I'll give them to a chazza in a while, for now they're just cluttering up a drawer.
