Tracing IP addys

I know it can be done, cos I've done it before when my son had his account hacked, trouble is I cant remember how I did it.... anyone?

Erm...... I'm talking Facebook, a friend having problems with someone and I want to help them trace who it is. My son doesnt have a profile on here lol!

you can try the WHOIS database for html but youve got no chance on fb, custom code that was designed by zuckerberg and then made even more cryptic by tptb. surveillance tool for the authorities, thats all it is.

IP addresses are no indication of who or where someone is. They can change incredibly quickly and can be spoofed or hidden by anyone without too much effort.

and then I reset my modem and blammo I have a new addy.

Not to mention minor things like spoofing or proxy sites.

No they don't. Most people have dynamic IP addresses assigned by their ISP.

Companies often have some static addresses and use private address ranges internally.

People, however, usually have dynamic addresses.

No they don't. Most people have dynamic IP addresses assigned by their ISP.

Companies often have some static addresses and use private address ranges internally.

People, however, usually have dynamic addresses.
